Emptiness

Emptiness the way to Great wisdom. How can emptiness be related to the great wisdom ? This will be the common perception of anyone who is going to read this blog. For the awakened folks reading this blog , they know the meaning and they'll just smile at this. Emptiness is having nothing. From childhood we are accumulating knowledge, attachment, love, hate, opinions, notions and many other things. This accumulation is being passed on from generations. Our parents teach us how to make opinion about others. There opinion becomes our opinion, our friends influence our opinion. Through these years of passing the accumulation of thoughts, perceptions and opinions brings attachment to us.
Attachment for us is a sweet thing but every pain that this world brings starts with attachments only. It is a vicious circle that attachments are getting for us.With attachments comes expectations, when the expectations are not fulfilled they become pain and sorrow and when they are fulfilled they become a higher expectation, the higher expectations bring higher pain and grief. All generated because of accumulations, the expectations, the attachments.
Here comes the importance of emptiness. The meaning of emptiness is letting go your preconceived opinions, attachments,  love, hate, regret, expectations. This brings wonders in life, miracles happen everyday. All the things we are attached with are empty. The problems are also empty, they are just situations that we on our own created and we are unhappy about that but they are also empty. Normally the realization of emptiness arises with the loss of any higher level of attachment. This is the realization of nothingness or as the world calls it "nothing is persistent in life ".
Emptiness means you have no attachments, no perceptions and ideas. Our perceptions hinder the truth that is hidden beneath every situation that we come across to.Emptiness or nothingness makes us see our life clearly. When all the perceptions and ideas are removed new dimensions to life are explored every moment, it destroys every suffering that we say was destined in our life. Emptiness is the only way to have everything. Thus being the poorest human being can hence be proved as the greatest pleasure in this world.

Gautama Buddha has described the emptiness in the Great Wisdom Sutra :

Mantra:

Gate, Gate, Paragate, Para Sam gate Bodhi svaha
Gate, Gate, Paragate, Para Sam gate Bodhi svaha
Gate, Gate, Paragate, Para Sam gate Bodhisvaha.
Bodhi Svaha

English:
Gone, Gone, Gone beyond Gone utterly beyond
Gone, Gone, Gone beyond Gone utterly beyond
Gone, Gone, Gone beyond Gone utterly beyond
Oh what an Awakenin!!

The five skandas are the five components of any individual: body, perceptions, feelings, mental formations and consciousness.
Gate means gone. Gone from suffering to the liberation of suffering. Gone from forgetfulness to mindfulness. Gone from duality into non-duality.
Gate gate means gone, gone.
Paragate means gone all the way to the other shore. So this mantra is said in a very strong way. Gone, gone, gone all the way over.
Parasamgate sam means everyone, the sangha, the entire community of beings. Everyone gone over to the other shore.
Bodhi is the light inside, enlightenment, or awakening. You see it and the vision of reality liberates you.
And svaha is a cry of joy or excitement, like "Welcome!" or "Hallelujah!" "Gone, gone, gone all the way over, everyone gone to the other shore, enlightenment, svaha !"
